On Sunday, June 3rd, MTV rolled out the red carpet for some of Hollywood’s most beautiful celebrities! Hosted by funny man Russell Brand, the nominees were announced May 1st, and the night’s winners were voted for by fans and MTV panel executives. While there were big winners on the stage, quite a few attendants were winners in the beauty department. Let’s recap the night’s stars that shone the brightest!

There were two beauty trends that I noticed among the night’s celebrities. Smudged, slightly smokey eyes and bare faces; and clean fresh faces with winged liner and a bold lip were plastered on the nights beauties! These two trends are classic and timeless, and will never look dated or out of place. When attending a red carpet event, this is SO important! Being able to look back at the images years, and see a beautifully applied makeup, and not the trendy blue eyeshadow of the 80’s or glitter filled lids that were the rage in the 70’s is ideal!

The gorgeous Kristen Stewart and Mila Kunis are shown below rocking beautiful smudged bronze smokey eyes. The smokey technique gives a little drama, while the softer shade of brown versus black keeps the look more subdued! Think shades like MAC Mulch (www.maccosmetics.com ) or OCC loose pigment in Brasstacks (www.occmakeup.com )

The following ladies opted for clean, fresh faces, winged liner and beautiful wispy lashes, Julianne Hough, Elizabeth Banks, songstress Ciara, and Charlize Theron:

Last but certainly not least, is my favorite beauty trend that was seen all over the red carpet: clean skin and a gorgeous bold lip!
Singer Janelle Monet, Kat Graham, Leighton Meester, and Emma Stone were some of the best to rock this trend last night!

Want Kat’s bright pink lip, try NYX Cosmetics soft matte lip cream, in Addis Ababa (www.nyxcosmetics.com)
