A Look Inside The Grandior Hotel | Prague

On a recent winter break to the city of Prague in Czechoslovakia, I had the opportunity to visit the very sophisticated, Grandior Hotel. I usually find city hotels to be much the same but this one had a sense of character to it while still exuding a vibe of luxury with its deluxe suites and therapeutic spa areas. Although giving the impression of being a destination for the affluent, this hotel has something to offer everyone.

Only recently opened in March 2014, this 5* hotel is in a prime location in the city centre of Prague with popular attractions: old town square and the astronomical clock tower within short walking distance. The first thing that struck me upon entering was the ultra modern interior with tall glass mirrors and fluorescent lights illuminating the entire lobby. It definitely gave the impression of extravagance with the abstract sculptures featured in the centre of the room. The comfortable armchairs and sofas lined around the outside were also a nice inviting touch and a great place to have a drink with a few friends.

With rooms starting at just £81 for a classic double room, this hotel provides its guests with good value for money along with comfortable beds and complimentary toiletries for your stay.  Rooms also include: free Wi-Fi, LCD TV and radio, minibar and a heated floor in the bathroom. You can also request quieter rooms on the top floors and suites with beautiful views of the hotel gardens if you wish. Downstairs in the lobby, you can find the spa and wellness section of the hotel, offering more than 30 types of massages, cosmetic treatments, Turkish steam bath and a fitness area with a gym exclusively for Grandior guests. You also have the unique opportunity to experience a traditional Czech beer bath with unlimited beer on offer. What could be better than that?

To add to their already extensive range of facilities, business functions are also catered for with The Grandior’s business centre and accompanying conference rooms, which can seat an impressive 515 people at once. These conference rooms will provide you with the latest advanced technology and high speed Internet connection to help you make your event a success.  There is even a Bistro and Café available for socializing after the conference. The hotel has been host to a number of events and conferences since opening and is due to host the WPT Poker Main Event in December this year.

As you can imagine, the food at this fine establishment will be no disappointment either with a range of international dishes to choose from the a la Carte menu served to you at the hotel Bistro in the evenings. The daily breakfast buffet has an impressive selection on offer including cheeses, meats, different types of eggs; pastries and an omelette bar providing made to order omelettes.

A visit to this hotel will certainly be time well spent as you’ll discover fine facilities, exceptional customer service and grand décor all for great value which will leave you wanting to return again very soon.
