BELLO IT Girl: Cailee Rae | Music August 16, 2017 The year 2000 ushered in many great things, not the least of which is the fact that singer Cailee Rae was born that year. Originally from Saint Louis, Cailee recently moved to start a new life in Los Angeles — a perfect choice considering Cailee’s music career is about to explode. Case in point, her brand new EP, Overthinking, was just released which includes her stunning single ‘Anchor.’ We had the chance to catch up with Cailee and ask her a few of our burning questions. Which singer would you say is your biggest musical inspiration? Honestly it’s a combination of a few different people. I pull inspiration for different reasons. Some for their writing, some for vocals, and some for just the whole package. But I think that’s how I found myself as my own artist. I learned from different people rather than just looking up to one specific artist. How long did it take you to create your EP Overthinking, and what would you say is the theme that connects all the songs together? It only took a few months! I just wanted to write songs that were light and fun and about growing up. If you could be in three dream destinations at once, what would those places be? OMG! Japan, Bali, and Thailand! As summer comes to an end, and our thoughts turn to the fall, describe to us what you would consider to be the ultimate autumn day? I love fall in NYC. The ultimate day would be walking around New York City, a little bundled up stuffing my face with pizza. Of course with my boyfriend and friends! What are you most looking forward to in the year ahead? I’m working on some music right now that I am SO excited about. It is so true to me and how I have evolved, and I think people will be surprised but also so happy about it! Stay tuned! When was the last time you had a major geek-out moment with your best friend, and what were you doing? Every time I’m with my best friend Brandon Woelfel, we just spend our time dying laughing. We have so many jokes between us and we just geek out about everything. We roll around and snort/cry laugh at the most random funny things!
