Beautiful and talented, Jaylen Barron is on the path to success. Currently playing in the recently released second season of the Netflix series “Free Rein,” the young actress has also starred in many other series such as “Good luck Charlie,” “Shameless,” and more. Jaylen is Barron is living her dream to the fullest and we are excited to see where she goes next!

1.Currently, you play in the Netflix series “Free Rein” which has a second season that just came out. Tell me about the role you play and how you feel about Season 2. Do you connect on a personal level with your character?
I play Zoe, an American girl who travels to England for the summer to visit her grandfather but soon she realizes the biggest adventure of her life will begin. I think I do connect with Zoe and her adventurous spirit.

2. How do you feel about being part of a series that won a Creative Arts Daytime Emmy for Best Children’s Series and was nominated for a NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Children’s Program? Do you feel that your role in “Free Rein” is some of your best work so far? It feels unreal honestly and amazing and unbelievable! I’m always learning and evolving in my career so, I feel I give it my all with all my projects.

3.When did you know you wanted to become an actress? How did it all start and how have you grown since?
I’ve always known. I can’t remember a time where I didn’t know I wanted to act. Acting started for me the same way most people start, with a headshot and castings.

4.You have played recurring roles on “Shameless,” “See Dad Run,” and “Good Luck Charlie.” What do you think of streaming services taking over prime time television?
I think it’s brilliant so far, people love having options at their fingertips or binge watching. The fact that you can choose when, where and how to watch your favorite stars is pretty amazing.

5.Being a part of successful series, you have also been nominated for awards yourself such as four Young Artist Awards: what is your secret to success?
I don’t know that there is a secret but I do think you have to know that this is where you’re going to be. This particular idea is your passion and you jump in!

6.How do you prepare for a role?
I try not to think too much about it. I look at them as people and how that person/character would act and speak. I try to imagine what it would be like to be them and act accordingly.

7.Tell me about your dream role. What would it be and in what kind of movie/series? Do you have a preferred genre?
I’m living my dream! And every role that takes me in the direction of success is a dream. I’d love to have a chance at playing a dramatic role, a character with layers and depth but I also would love to do a high action movie, sci-fi zombies or a horror film- as you can see I just want to give my fans the best possible me.

First of all, excuse my French! … I was born in the South of France. Lived in Paris for 10 years and travelled the world until I moved to Los Angeles in 2008, because obviously recession was a great time to move to a new country! I also arrived around Halloween and was greeted at the Social Security offices by a nurse who directed to the window Number 6 so a witch could hand me my social security number. Welcome to America. I am a painter, a photographer and the creative director of BELLO mag.
