We all have people we look up to. We all have people we idolize. We all have our “golden gods”. Whether that is a 17-year old heartthrob at the peak of his youth, or a very brave actor willing to put notions aside to make a difference, the definition of a teen idol continues to develop and grow in our modern world. Growing up, for me, it was the movies I’d beg my mother to see and the TV shows I’d stay up to watch, that gave me the sense that life is anything you wanted it to be.

I’m a strong believer in the idea that movie stars make the world go round. Celebrities, their fashions, and their actions are all consuming in the age of social media that is now. We are no longer limited to the poster on the wall of our favorite actor in a superhero costume, or the tear sheet from any given fashion magazine, filled with the familiar faces of the year or decade’s hottest supermodel. It fascinates me and it makes life truly wonderful. The faces of entertainment are the ones that are imprinted in our minds. The Audrey Hepburns, and the Alicia Silverstones and the work they create that go on to live lives outside of their creator’s own life spans. They create art, but also an image and idea that not only charms their admirers, but influences sometimes their everyday actions, to the most minuscule of moves. The idea of an icon on is not a hard one to understand, but the reasoning behind such idolization is solely of the fan’s basis. One that shouldn’t be argued nor judged.

The talent featured in this issue come from all walks of life, but in my belief they were destined for a platform in flashing lights. They embody the spark and indescribable quality of a star. See for yourself.

With much content,
Dio Anthony Young Hollywood Editor

First of all, excuse my French! … I was born in the South of France. Lived in Paris for 10 years and travelled the world until I moved to Los Angeles in 2008, because obviously recession was a great time to move to a new country! I also arrived around Halloween and was greeted at the Social Security offices by a nurse who directed to the window Number 6 so a witch could hand me my social security number. Welcome to America. I am a painter, a photographer and the creative director of BELLO mag.
