2012 People’s Choice Awards Beauty Winners

The 2012 People’s Choice Awards took place on January 11th at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. Kaley Cuoco, star of “The Big Bang Theory” was the hostess and she definitely had the most costume and hair changes throughout the evening, I think I counted at least 6!!! Many wonderful actors and actresses walked the red carpet, but a few were wearing makeup and hair that really caught my eye.

Leah Michelle, who won the award for “Favorite TV Comedy Actress” for her work in GLEE, chose a bright fuschia lip color. That was the most daring lip shade I spotted on the carpet that night and I really think it went well with the oyster colored 1920’s flapper inspired tea length dress. She kept the rest of her makeup very neutral, opting for a pinky taupe blush and eyes bare of any discernible color but loads of mascara to really emphasize her lashes.

To achieve a similar look to Leah’s try-

Ashley Greene was a presenter of the “Favorite Movie Drama” at the awards and I particularly loved her hair length, style, and wave. I’ve worked with Ashley before, and I can honestly say she has perfect skin and beautiful bone structure. Her hair looked very shiny and healthy, and I loved the length. It was just past her shoulders and curled in a way that didn’t look messy or beachy. I especially loved the way it was left completely down, rather than half up which kept it from resembling “wedding hair”- if you know what I mean.

Here are my recommendations for achieving Ashley’s hairstyle

Miley Cyrus stood out to me because of her classic and mature appearance. I know that she has spent the last two years trying to shed her adolescent image by dressing with more glamour and sophistication than ever before, but not until this week did I feel that she finally looks like she can pull it off. Even though she is still a teenager, I really think she is pulling off this week’s red carpet makeup, hair and dress with the style and grace of a mature young adult. I love the bronze and peach makeup palette that she chose to go with her warm skintone, and the sharply defined brows are striking. Between her eyes and her lips, I can’t decide which is her best feature. Here she emphasizes her eye with a dark black gel liner smudged out slightly at the outer corners, and opts for a very see through neutral pink lipstain and gloss it looks like.

If you would like to replicate Miley’s look try-
