Italy – ‘Pinocchio’ Villa For Sale at $14 million

The 1860 Villa di Colonnata near Firenze in Italy is “the centre of where Pinocchio was conceived” and it is owned by the Gerini family. Even tho it does not look exactly like Geppetto’s workshop, this is where Pinocchio’s author Carlo Collodi got his inspiration from for his children’s journal between 1881 and 1883.

Today this villa is on the market for $14 million.

32,000 square feet (3,000-square-metre) of pure italian opulence (which *might* need a little bit of tlc) and a known as the “Field of Miracles” where a gardener famously found a hoard of coins in the 19th century, a story that was included in “The Adventures of Pinocchio”.
