l’Appartement Hair Boudoir opens in New York December 11, 2012 At New York’s most glamorous corner, on 57th street and the iconic 5th avenue, stands now a new refuge for high class society: l’Appartement Hair Boudoir is a hair salon set in the highest traditions of French chic. From the moment the elevator opens its door to the 7th floor of 5 east 57th street, a world of magically tasteful refined beauty treats your senses to the pleasures of an experience like no other. Paris was brought in. It is in New York’s historical standards of chic that all things refined were to be brought from Europe; France & Paris at its most central expression of this trend. For centuries and in times past, no cloth of any value, jewelry, art, sculpture & fashion had any other provenance than the paved Faubourgs of the St Honore’, the Champs Elysees, the St Germain des Pres, gently decorated by its most sophisticated match of colors and fabric. L’Appartement – Hair Boudoir, is the successful newly born of this long tradition. You step in and you forget. Forget you’re in New York, as the flooring, the most subtly details by the door, the gilded window knobs, the slick chairs circling a vintage mirror set in a modern frame of a Louis the XV table style, reminds you of the very cozy elegance of Haussmanian glory. It isn’t just a salon, like its name indicates, it’s a boudoir – a place where you can rest, have your hair done, rejuvenate, while you are sipping Champaign and enjoy a delightful conversation with the elegant Mrs. Tiffany, the master hair stylist, creator of this unique space. Rich with 25 years of experience and endless passion in the hair styling field, Tiffany’s abilities are a unique combination of experiences that today sum up in very high qualifications. At a very young age Tiffany Kaljic began cutting hair, in her native town of Cannes in the French Riviera. Beauty and hair were her passion; she trained with the best schools in the beauty industry such as, Jacques Dessange, Vidal Sassoon and Alexandre Zouari. Later on she became the proud owner of two exclusive Hair Salons in Cannes often visited by top models and celebrities. In summer of 2003 Tiffany was discovered by master hairstylist Frederic Fekkai, who invited her to join his team in New York City, where she spent 4 years working with Fekkai and quickly became a key player covering the Fashion Week in Milan, Paris, London, Kiev & the Cannes Film Festival team. Tiffany’s biggest dream was to share with others what life has given her: art, passion, talent and devotion. Embraced by the support of her best friend and partner in life, her husband, they decided to develop a unique concept for her clients, a beauty oasis in a French-like apartment with great ambiance and the best service there is. Building something particular was very important, “a place that my clients don’t want to leave because they feel at home” says Tiffany. She stroke luck when she found her dream place with a very special story. The 7th Floor of 5 East 57th Street, where her new Salon “L’Appartement Hair Boudoir” is located, was the first nest to Chanel #5 and Roberto Farraone’s Jewelry Design. I’ve got you saved as a favorite to look at new stuff you post… Reply nan March 11, 2013 This past week while I was in NYC on a business trip, a dear friend of mine introduced me to L’Appartement Hair Boudoir and, as your article mentions, it truly is a beauty oasis and a place you never want to leave. I received a very warm and inviting welcome as I stepped off the elevator and the experience got better and better. I lived in NYC for many years and after moving to Williamsburg, VA, missed the state of the art talent and fantastic service of my salons there and now, I have found a “family” in Tiffany, Alex, and their professional staff…a memorable morning and wonderful way to start my busy day.
