And “What About Us,” the Grammy winner’s new single from her forthcoming album, Beautiful Trauma, is just what we need right about now.

The song manages to be socially-conscious without being preachy, soaring without being ingratiating. It’s an effortless piece of music that taps into the emotions and sentiments of our current cultural climate.
