NYFW – A Natural Aristocratic Chic For LACOSTE FW14

Lacoste was one of the first shows we saw during NY Fashion Week and being French the label has always been close to my heart so I was happy to be able to see their FW14 collection.

This collection was inspired by a series of images captured by Felipe Oliverira last year on a trip to the Basque Region of France and the golf course (chantaco) built in the late 20’s by the father od Simone Thion de la Chaume, wife of Rene Lacoste.

Hundreds of shades of green, a rustic purity, faux monochromes an outdoors and nature focused sportswear synonymous with comfort and protection.

Overhall look offers light yet swathing layers that allow freedom of movement. Pure and linear. Monochromes of blue and beige with the classic Lacoste green taking all possible vegetal shades. Pure new wool, knitted in thick jersey … a natural aristocratic chic collection.
