Ringing in the New Year – Vegas Style January 3, 2017 by Hiko Mitsuzuka (@TheFirstEcho) (Photo by Denise Truscello/WireImage) If you weren’t lucky enough to ring in the new year in Las Vegas this past weekend, you missed some of the hottest parties on the planet… First, over at Caesars Palace, global superstar DJ and producer Calvin Harris performed an exclusive DJ set during a private engagement for over 3,600 guests. Following his mind-blowing EDM showcase, guests were treated to yet another larger than life performance when Backstreet Boys took the stage. The best-selling boy band of all time captivated the audience with iconic songs including 90s classics “Everybody” and “I Want It That Way.” The production was actually a sneak peak of what’s to come as Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson prepare for their exclusive headlining residency at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino (beginning Wednesday, March 1). None other than Lady Gaga! The end-of-the-year festivities continued at the iconic resort when Calvin Harris entered his element at OMNIA Nightclub inside Caesars Palace. Just after midnight, the turntable maestro made his way to the DJ booth and played an unstoppable set as guests celebrated an unforgettable start to 2017.
