The Love is Real for ‘Love, Simon’ (Video)

by Hiko Mitsuzuka (@TheFirstEcho)

Love, Simon, the anticipated high school dramedy from director Greg Berlanti (the man behind superheroic TV hits like Arrow and The Flash and 2000’s heartwarming cult hit The Broken Hearts Club), is “coming out” in just two weeks, and word has it that the movie could be a teen movie gamechanger.

Early buzz is strong, with some critics swooning over its modern-day romance, its authentic and relatable characters, and its casual message about genuine human connection in today’s digitally cluttered world. (Not the mention the irresistible soundtrack — Walk the Moon’s “Surrender” has been on repeat ever since we heard it in the trailer.)

20th Century Fox has also released a video called “Love Makes the World Go Round,” showcasing four different relationships that ultimately demonstrate how love can truly change the world for the better. And isn’t that what we need nowadays?

Love Simon opens in theaters March 16.
